Job Description
As an Assistant Manager in Corporate Accounting, you will be responsible for various aspects of financial management, including monthly closings, financial reporting, domestic business contracts, MIS reporting, and accounts payable/receivable for the parent company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and providing valuable insights for decision-making.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Monthly Close & General Reporting
- Manage general accounting, including monthly & annual close
- Prepare standard journal entries
- Create schedules, financial reports, and reconciliations for monthly accounting and month-end closing activities
- Handle deferred revenue apportionment
- Lead internal & statutory audits
- Manage statutory returns relating to Company Law / STPI etc.
- Plan and arrange work efficiently to meet various deadlines
India Domestic Business Contracts, Billing & AR
- Review India domestic contracts
- Process contract amendments
- Handle monthly billing
- Perform customer account reconciliations and follow-ups
- Ensure GST compliance & payments
MIS Reporting
- Generate MIS reports on monthly profitability & revenue
- Publish Project Profitability Statements
- Conduct project-wise and customer-wise revenue and cost analysis
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable for Parent Company
- Oversee processing of AP Invoices and AR accounting for US
- Ensure all accounts payable transactions comply with internal controls and company policy
- Manage prepaid accounting for US
- Handle corporate credit card monthly accounting for US
- Interact with the US team
Time and Expense Processing
- Oversee the SCI T&E cycle
- Validate expense reports as per the T&E company policy
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, or Company Secretary qualification
- 3-6 years of industry accounting experience with a medium-sized professional company
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player with the ability to establish priorities and work independently
- Capability to achieve daily productivity and quality targets
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Knowledge of ERP systems and experience with computerized accounting packages
